现场对讲系统 SR-Talk

Work radio for field crews — every transmission is kept, and field pressure is one call away

What is the Field Radio System?

A work radio system for waterworks field crews. Like a real radio, only one person transmits per channel at a time — and every transmission is kept on the server to be replayed later.

Two things set it apart from a handheld radio. First, voice, photos, location and emergency calls all live in one place, so what happened and where stays on the record. Second, it is wired into the pressure monitoring system: one spoken command posts the current reading for the assigned device straight into the channel.

PTT One transmitter per channel
60s Relay watchdog cycle
3 Apps: APK, installer, portable
SOS Emergency call with location

Screens from the Running System

Captured directly from the running system. Only personal names have been masked.

LIVE · names masked Radio channel screen with a PTT button at the bottom, emergency and map buttons on top, and an automatic pressure-status card in the conversation
Radio Channel & PTT Press the large button and speak to transmit to everyone on the channel. The dark card mid-conversation is the current pressure status posted automatically by the monitoring system.
LIVE Directory screen listing staff by department, from which a one-to-one conversation can be opened
Staff Directory Open a one-to-one conversation straight from the department listing. Staff records come from the groupware system.
LIVE Login screen showing groupware sign-in and summaries of PTT, voice retention, location sharing and pressure auto-reply
Groupware Sign-in No separate sign-up. Staff use their groupware credentials — the radio system never stores those passwords itself.

Key System Features

Push-to-Talk

It behaves like a real radio: only one person may transmit on a channel, and anyone else keying up is told to wait.

  • One transmit slot per channel
  • Transmit start/end shown to all members
  • Silent transmissions are not recorded

Automatic Voice Retention

Every transmission is stored on the server for replay, so anyone who stepped away can catch up on what they missed.

  • Voice kept verbatim in channel history
  • Export by period or record count
  • Size and duration safety limits enforced

Emergency Call

One button alerts everyone on the channel at once, carrying the caller’s location and keeping it updated.

  • Instantly alerts the whole channel
  • Caller location attached and refreshed
  • Repeat calls update location, not the alarm

Field Location Sharing

See where channel members are and how far apart they are, so you know instantly who is closest to a site.

  • Member positions and mutual distances
  • Photo and text messaging alongside
  • Location logging is rate-limited

Pressure Auto-reply

Call “check pressure” over the radio and the current readings for the devices linked to that channel appear as a formatted card.

  • Channel-to-device linking
  • Pressure, link state and battery summary
  • Pressure data is read-only by design

Relay Watchdog

If the relay carrying the audio stops, the system notices within 60 seconds and restarts it — cutting the time crews are off the air.

  • 60-second liveness check and auto-restart
  • Recovery events are logged
  • The relay port is never exposed publicly
Current stage. SR-Talk is in field pilot at waterworks sites. Every feature listed above is implemented and working. Voice transcription and automatic pressure-alarm broadcast are built but not yet switched to continuous operation, so they are deliberately left off this list.

How It Connects to Our Other Systems

Rethinking how your field crews communicate?

Built by SR for waterworks fieldwork — and used by our own crews. We will demonstrate on the live system.
